Myofascial release is a slow, deliberate massage that targets the connective tissue known as fascia which lies in-between the skin and muscles. This modality is deeply therapeutic and uses little to no lubricant. Although intense at times, myofascial release is also relaxing, and penetrates deep into the body.
Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue called fascia. It is used to break down tissue adhesions and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time. This type of work can be more intense, but should never be painful.
Sports massage is a faster -paced massage indicated for those preparing for an event or recovering from one. The goal is to stimulate the muscle tissue to prepare it for action, and to help facilitate blood and lymph flow which aids in muscle repair. Active and passive stretching may be used and feedback from client is essential. Sports massage can be beneficial for most people, not just athletes.
Cupping is one of my favorite modalities to work with simply because it is so effective in releasing muscle restrictions in a short amount of time. Plastic vacuum cups are placed on the target area and remain on the body for 5-15 minutes. Sliding cupping may also be incorporated, and I call this "vacuuming the muscles." Static cupping, where the cups remain in the same spot, will sometimes leave cupping marks, although these usually fade within 2-5 days. Sliding cupping usually does not, but there may be some redness for a few hours after treatment.
The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and promote relaxation. With slow deliberate strokes, this technique is perfect for those seeking refuge from today's stressful and hectic world. Don't be surprised if you fall asleep on the table. If you request Swedish massage you can expect dim lights and relaxing music.
Prenatal massage focuses on addressing the special needs of those expecting a chid. Comfortable pillows, bolsters, and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen. This is a relaxing and rejuvenating massage, most clients fall asleep and leave feeling refreshed.

A: Not they do not. I am allergic as well! The one exception is coconut oil, which is a tree nut. This is used during hot stone massage or by request.

A: At this time, no. You can call your insurance company and find out if medically prescribed massage is reimbursable. If so, I can provide a receipt for service.

A: Yes, refunds will be processed as the total cost minus credit card processing fees.
