Orthopedic massage is a clinical approach to bodywork that focuses on identifying and treating the underlying causes of pain, restricted movement, and musculoskeletal dysfunction. Rather than providing general relaxation, treatment is tailored to your specific condition using techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, stretching, and joint mobilization to reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve function.
Each session begins with a thorough assessment to determine the source of your symptoms. Depending on your condition, this may include a review of your health history, posture and movement analysis, orthopedic special tests, range of motion (ROM) measurements, muscle strength testing, and palpation. Treatment may also incorporate corrective stretching, mobility exercises, and self-care recommendations designed to support your progress between visits and help prevent future injury.
Most acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions require a series of 3–5 treatments to achieve lasting improvement rather than relying on a single session for temporary relief. Your progress will be evaluated throughout your care, and after your initial treatment plan, your condition will be reassessed to determine whether your goals have been met or if additional treatment or maintenance care is recommended. Our goal is not only to relieve your symptoms but to help you achieve long-term function and lasting results. A cluster of sessions are booked after the first visit to achieve optimal results.
